I've been using my Assenheimer recurve since it was new in 1991.

I made myself an osage bow almost 3 years ago that fits me just right. As time passed I have retillered it a little, dropped the poundage 5 lbs, narrowed the tips, and made minor adjustments to the handle. I have a back-up bow that I never shoot because " Old Faithful" has become so special to me. This bow will be my only bow until the limbs won't sling an arrow anymore. It has at least 15K arrows through it so far and shows no sign of wearing out.

My main bow is a "70 wooden B riser Bear Takedown that I've owned since around 1980. The limbs I've used longest are a set of #1 length limbs 66lbs. I've had since '83 0r so. I own several (over 10) old Bears including a '69 B, and two Super Ks in the same weight range but this one "fits" best. I have had it bad for many years-I've only sold two in my life and regret them both. Gave a few away though and never regretted that.       Grant
