March, Texas-pigs ect...
April, Montana Turkey
April-June, Montana Spot and stalk black bear
August-November, Montana, antelope, deer, & elk
December-April, Chasing kitty's in Montana.
(there is a reason for living in Montana)

I don't see much reason to leave home this year unless an opportunity for mule deer or whitetails arise in a quality location.  I was looking forward chasing after coastal brown bears again this spring but the wife informed me I was taking her to the Oregon coast during that time period, sorry Steve.          After thinking about it for a couple of minutes (my wife says that is a bad thing-me thinking) there is always a few nice huts in the St. Jude Auction on this site every year, I might get serious about bidding on a couple of them.

The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Oh fine Walt, shift the blame to your wife when I get eaten by a brown bear!

Deer season this year is completely up in the air for me. I'm heading off to university and have no idea as to if I even have the mobility to go hunting. I hope so  :)

As for the rest of the year; rabbits in february, maybe try calling in some coyotes soon, turkey in the spring and bowfishing all summer.

Hey Walt, if you must do the Oregon coast, stop and see Steve's and my buddy Ben Pinney.  He is at dental school in Portland, and no doubt can put you on some good fishing in the spring.

Ben's in dental school??!!  Man, he sure grew up fast. Or I've grown old fast. I traded hunting related e-mails with him when he was about 14 or 15!

I have a free roaming, ranging mind -- sometimes it reports back to me...

Steve,
I almost had Sue convinced this week that the bears might eat you, so I had to be there, and there is enough air miles so it wouldn't cost much...  Unfortunately, she talked to my brother in Portland, who mentioned he had bought a condo on the coast near Newport.  Guess who has reservations in Newport?

Kevin,
I might do that; we plan on spending a couple of days in Portland.  However, I have to allocate enough time to stop at glass butte for some obsidian, might need some trading materials at Mojam the next time I make it.

Same as always: Come Fall, chasing my beloved local tricky slickster deer herd, and this Spring, as well as this Fall, HEHEHE, if I'm lucky, a gobbler with huge cataracts on both eyes will come along and mistake me for a stump!!
