This past weekend, we were able to brave the weather and head down to Leesville for an awesome night of bowfishing.  On the boat were myself (Steven), my father-Tim Mullins, Tony Murray, Greg Gravois and his son (Gabe Gravois- who's 8), and Joe Carpenter.  We began with a really nice boat ride through the marsh, and we began looking for fish around 10pm.  It didn't take us long to find the reds, and it took even less time for Gabe Gravois to start shooting!  I must say it was quite an honor watching Gabe go at it with all his excitement and enthusiasm!  For 8 years old, I think he took us all to school that night!! I really think that out of all of us, he shot the biggest red, and the biggest sheephead!  After a night of non-stop excitement, we ended up limiting out on redfish, and taking several sheephead, drum and a few garfish.  Hopefully, next year will be trip #3.  Thanks to Marshmasters and Captain 'D' for giving us such a good time!

Gabe really loves bowfishin!  He gets so excited when we get into fish.  He shoots a bow that is 35# @ 28".  He probably hits more fish than all of us, but penetration is a problem with the light bow. No matter the outcome he is always optimistc and never wants to stop looking for fish.  Gabe and I had a great time shooting fish with this crew! We can't wait til next year.
