Stone Knife

When you foot a carbon should the alum. go over the insert or just up to it?
Proverbs 12:27
The lazy do not roast any game,
but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt.

Jim,

It's probably splitting hairs, but the strongest and most benefit is when the aluminum footing covers both the insert and shaft.  Bring the footing flush with the back of the point.
