52# Chek-Mate

Thinking about getting a r/d longbow in the 45# range though just to see how I like a lower draw weight.
Mark Thornton

It doesn't matter how or what you shoot, as long as you hit your target.

pseman,
I shoot right around 45 lbs and like the feel of the lighter draw weight. I am hoping when I connect on a deer I'll get the same penetration I did on a metal door about 5 months ago.  That proved a bit costly!!

Two Arrows

52#'s to 56#'s seem to work the best for me.

buckeye, I've been seeing the numbers(fps) that some of the r/d LB's have been putting up at 9-10gr/lb and I am really interested in trying one out.

Four bows at my draw: 50#, 60#, 70#, and 85#.

My groups start opening up after a few dozen shots with the 85#-er -- I pull it to gauge my deteriorating strength as I age beyond 55 years.

TRADITIONAL ONLY

If its brown its down; thats my motto.

Have a number of different bows, but most commonly shoot 70-80#.  The bow I'm most accurate with, that I'm hunting with this Fall is 75#.

Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils.

Habu VyperKahn, 47# @ 28" and 55# @ 28". I rarely use the 55# limbs. I also have several other bows from 45# @ 27" to 54# @ 28".
