It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.

Go to the salvation army or Goodwill and buy all the used sleeping bags.  Fold them in quarters and hang from two pieces of string.  You can not shoot thru it.  When you finaly can shoot thru it buy a burlap fill bag and start over.

I sure would like to see a picture of your sand box. Sounds like a great idea.

silly question, but if it was on its side, what holds the sand in.......  :D

Have any of you found the sand wears the shafts of carbon arrows?

Does anyone have a picture of their sand pit?

Go to Goodwill and the Salvation Army and buy all the used sleeping bags.  Fold them in quarter and hang them by rope.  You can not shoot thru it.  After a few month you can buy a burlap fill bag and put the sleeping bag in them.  I have the same three sleeping bags for over a year.

Bobw,i would have a 2" lip welded onto the bottom to keep the sand in when i lay it down.
Hardhed,i have heard that the sand is very hard on carbon shafts. Not a problem for me as i use aluminums the majority of the time.
capt addie, you seem to be missing the fact that i am shooting broadheads.I would never be able to get the broadhead out of the sleeping bags.

I shoot aluminum, wood and carbon into the sand and it dosn't seem to wear much on any of them, most of the wear is on the head. I've shot aluminums into them for years and only worn off some of the finish at the front. I do tune my stuff pretty well, so it hits straight and not at an angle.
