Has anyone tried the Full Metal Jackets yet. I like the weight. I just wonder how they hold up?

Ferret I use the FMJ and the regular axis 500's . A little expensive, but a great arrow.  

Looks like they would bend easy.Personly as much as I miss I would have all mine dinged up.I havent tried them,so what would the advantage be over alluminum?

they shoot good but are just a little too "tech" looking for my tastes, kinda pricey, too---for the money i'd rather have some of Ed Schlief's pretty sticks

I think the Idea is to have the Straightness, Uniformity and Weight of an Aluminum.. But the Strength and Resistance of Bending of a Carbon.. I may have this wrong.. But that's my Opinion

The arrows in my tests have done well but still bend and keep a bend after hitting something hard.... I STILL PREFER MY GOLD TIPS.... 5575

I really like the regular axis a lot. I haven't
bent any for a year now but it really hurts when

I bought a dozen and thought they were the best thing since sliced bread.  I could not say enought about them.  Then one day in the back yard I got to shooting dog toys, a favorite past time of mine.  In the end I had 3 bent arrows.  So I traded them for some MFX classics, at least they don't bend and the weight is almost the same.  I shoot too much stupid stuff to shoot aluminum arrows.

I was shooting the regular axis 500's and wanted a little more weight, so I bought a dozen Beman MFX Classic 500's.  The axis and the MFX 500's both fly great and bareshaft correct for my bow.  31" axis 500 w/125 = 415gr ; 31" MFX Classic 500 w/125 = 460gr.

They shoot good and I love the way they pull from 3d targets.They will bend almost as easy as an aluminum however so you better keep them in the foam or just them to hunt with.Overall I had rather stick with regular carbon shafts myself.jmo

Thanks all I think that for now I will stick with my GTs. They have been good to me for along time.

they're a carbon lining inside an aluminum shaft. For target shooters who want a lot of weight, they might be good...but I can't think of why target shooters would shoot lots of weight in arrows.

For hunting...why pay all that money for an arrow you are likely to use ONCE on an animal and then throw away...or stake a tomato to after you do? I don't get the usefulness of them -expensive, easy to bend, and the lining probably flakes off inside the shaft when it bends and unlike the ones that were carbon on the outside you CAN'T see carbon flake off on the inside...so I advise don't waste your money.

The Beman MFX Classic's are slightly heavier,they are nice arrows but with the aluminum they can get a dent or get bent.I prefer MFX Classic or Black Max they have slightly more weight than Axis.

I beleive the Beman Max4 are the heaviest skinny carbons out there!!!
