How many of you are getting pumped for ETAR 2022? Looking forward to another great time this year. Have campground reserved and bows are ready to go.
I am excited. Hope gas is not $10 gal. But I'll go anyway.
I'm hoping to go, my girl wants to come as well so if if we have someone to feed the hounds while we're away we'll be there.
I've always wanted to go, but man.....that 14 hour drive is a clincher...
Maybe I'll man up this year....lol
1,724 miles/One day and one hour drive. Probably won't make it this year.
:campfire: :coffee: :archer2:
I have wanted to go for years. Maybe this year will be the year.
I just got a giant boost. My daughter is graduating college in May. She's gonna take some classes this summer anyhow as she's going further w her education but told me the classes will be done by ETAR. She'd like to come. When my daughters were little one of our things was 3D. She hasn't shot a recurve in a long time but started out w one. Gonna be great having her with me. Hope it happens. I can't wait. May even buy her a new bow since her other one is a little light.
I'm going for the first time this year, and my daughters are making the trip with me. We are meeting up and sharing a house with some more of our shooting friends, a couple more from Michigan, my buddys son is flying in from Montana to go, and will be meeting up with more friends from Pennsylvania. Going to be a bitter sweet trip as we are all doing it in memory of one of our shooting buds that passed away unexpectedly the end of January. This shoot was on his bucket list of ones he wanted to make it to.

We were just talking about this a week or so ago. Looks like both sons and my wife will be going with me this year. Only the boys and I will be shooting.
Does anyone know if JavaMan Archery is going to be a vendor? I'd love to shoot the Imperial and Imperial Supreme.
I think I saw him on updated vendor list but just check
I Googled a vendor list but nothing showed up. I appreciate the info and will keep my eyes open for that vendor list. We're looking forward to it as always.
Go down to 2022 vendor list. He's on there

One day I'll make that long trip :archer:
HA! I guess I should have kept scrolling. Thanks for that! I'm looking forward to shooting some JavaMan bows!
Im planning on at least a day maybe more. The new venue is really nice.
Hi, Bob!!! Been a long time, Brother!!!
Maybe I'll see ya there!!?? :archer:
Is this run by the same group that did Denton years ago?
Same people, same venue. Different place that's all because the state wasn't committing to yes/no
I always look forward to ETAR.. Personally I have only ever shot a couple of ranges there ever but I am pretty busy during the day and wore out by evening!
It's great seeing all the people again and those that never have been would be amazed!
At the very least, this should be a bucket list thing for trad archers.. I would warn you that it would likely turn in to an every year event for you!
BigJim
Chuck it would be great to see you ! This will be my 17th or 18th year ...
I'm coming for my second time, this will be my first time at SkiSawmil
I'm making the 4 hour trip from Canada 🇨🇦
Really looking forward to it!!

We should shoot one of the courses together
Would be nice to shoot with another Canadian
I'm going to ETAR for the first time this year. Just under 7 hour drive from where I am in Ontario
Must be northern Ontario.
Well it's hard to describe the amount of fun you will have. For traditional archers it's like Christmas all weekend.
Pretty cool all the Canadian guys making trip down. Have a safe trip boys
Are there any Lefties shooting at ETAR??
Zombie slayer - i wouldn't call our part of the province northern Ontario. We are driving from Lindsay which is 1hr north east of Toronto.
I'm a right handed shooter but I have a left handed riser for my predator limbs
I'm coming from Hamilton area, last time it took me about 3 1/2 hours driving
We Canadians should meet up and shoot a course together :archer2:
Great to see some representatives from north of the border ! Getting close ...
I have been there many times I don't like missing it. Our group will be there this year as usual. Looking forward to it always a good time.
Agree with you Big Jim, it could be habit forming. As a vendor also, I found that I had little time or energy to shoot the course. The Eagle Eye event was the only thing that I participated in. It's a great event for a great cause. I won it on the first try, but couldn't do it again. It's one of those things where you have to be on top of your game, and a little bit lucky..., and a prayer doesn't hurt either. I prayed that I not miss the whole target and embarrass myself. Lo and behold, I hit the bullseye. God is good.
For anyone who hasn't gone, don't wait. Events like this don't last forever. It is a Mecca for traditional enthusiast with thousands of people with similar interest, and hundreds of dealers with lots of merchandise. There are special programs and seminaries, and the blanket sale is fantastic. The first year i bought 5 bows in about a half hour at this event, including a Shrew.
Sadly, Eagle's Flight Archery won't be there this year. We will miss it terribly, but age and health tend to interfere with our plans. For anyone who is trying to decide, go for it. You won't be sorry. :knothead: :archer2: :knothead:
I had a great time at ETAR. Definitely going back next year
I didn't make ETAR this year or the last several. I'm retired now and would have gone this year if not for the fact that I was fly-fishing in Colorado that week. For those of you who have gone for quite a few years, I was typically in the PGC trailer for at least part of the rendezvous as I'm the retired game warden in northern Potter County.

It seems like traditional archery is popular with Pa. game wardens. I shoot with three retired/former Pa. wardens at the Sawmill shoot.
Yep, I could always expect to see a few of the guys at ETAR every year as well.
