I have had a bunch over the years. The one I wish had back was a 60" SBS [short black stick] 44# @ 29". It was painted black from the factory. I got rid of it and now those are the exact specs I order or look for   :banghead:    :banghead:  I guess I don't get why so many don't care for the red and white in the riser, but to each his own. I still have a PLX I got from Big Ed on here.....nice bow!!

I love the greybark with red and white in the riser,,, Man I'm just stubborn but to me it represents the true "Black widow bow" remember when those were the standard colors that meant "I'm the bow all the others are compared too" ,,,,,,,,now widows are the ones compared to the other bows,, we used to love how fast they shot and how stable the limbs were dont forget all the harvest photos you could find unless it was another bow companys website widows where the majority.

now its funny how its about looks and how pretty they are--> which they are but you don't hear much about how they shoot and you surely don't see as many harvest photos anymore could it be they are too nice to bring out?,,,, not dissing the other bows but me I'll take the black w/red&white over a burl ash or super curly shmirly maple over zircote with custom checkering ANYDAY ,,,,  all this was typed with a smile I just had to stand up on my chair, tap the glass and shout out my love for the originals..

SO lets see more Autumn Oaks & Grey Barks, the Brighter the Better C'mon you base price shoppers get in here 8^) with those harvest photos don't let the custom models win show off what those base price models can can do,, hee hee   :D  ..

I have 6 of them and "how they shoot " is pretty much a given.

Blueridge, I did have a few that shot better than others or lets say I clicked with certain bows,, theres always that bow ont he rack that is the favorite.

I'm seriously thinking about trying a 56" PSA with Asbel grip in Greybark of course maybe rattler backed like my previous widows but plenty of red and white in the riser,,, I'm just not sure if 56" will feel smooth out to 27.5" I usually shoto minimum 60" but need a shorter bow.

sent widow an e-mail with some questions but have yet to hear back.

Tajue17 one of my buddies has a 56" psa 51#@28 draws very smooth at my 281/2 draw.

his draws smooth and "No Pinch"  thats my biggest concern is does it pinch the 3 fingers,, I shoot 2 under 1 over so maybe not as drastic as 3 under where pinch is more of a concern I guess.

I bought "Dorothy" new in June of 99!  She still shoots better than I can!!!  MA-II, 64", 53#@30". Had Canebreak rattler skins put on in 2006.

She has put 28 big game critters in the freezer, along with countless fish and small game!!
