It's being reported on another site that Dal Lowrey of Kansas has passed away after a long struggle with complications from heart surgery last spring.

I know many of you remember him, and his signature sign off:

"Friend of the little man, enemy of none."

Rest in peace, Dal

Ron LaClair

This is a great loss for the Traditional archery community.

My condolences and prayers for his family.

Dal was a good man and an inspiration. Sad day indeed  :(

For hunting to have a future, we must invest ourselves in future hunters.

Here is a picture of Dal at Spearhead Ranch. I never met the man but always enjoyed his posts.

Dal was one of the first traditional archers I every had the pleasure to meet.  Shot with him a few times, discussed bows with him a few times also.  I went to Spearhead Ranch on his recomendation, it was one of his favorite places.
He will be missed.

That is sad. He was a fighter.

I was at the Spearhead ranch the year the picture above was taken - 2005. This was my first chance to meet him.  He and his wife Karen are great people.
