Been thinking of going to a heavier arrow for my lighter # bow.

Try "Pennwoods" ... I think they are in Pa.
I know they carry ash...
Hope this helps.
Shoot well ...be well !

Alleghany arrow woods are tops in my books; best shafts I have ever made arrows from.

Raptor's a sponsor here, and has Douglas Fir, Ash and Birch.  Good shafts from good folks!

Allegheny Mountain Arrow Woods website address is  www.arrowwoods.com.  I've bought birch and ash shafts from them several times and have been pleased with the quality and service.

String Cutter

Checked  'em all out and Allegheny was cheaper by far. Got 2 Doz. Tappered Ash for $74  shipped.   :clapper:

You'll love the tapered ash, I have never shot a better arrow in terms of flight and durability.
Also I have had no probs getting them straight by hand in less than 2 minutes.

If someone is located in Europe, then he/she might trust in the shafts from Jürgen Arnold at  www.whitewood.de

He has got Ash, Birch, Larch, Pine and maybe some other stuff.
I had very tight spine and weight tolerances. This, in combination with good initial straightness and smoothness, has convinced me that I've finally found my source for shafts.

After 20yrs. POC I switched to Birch shafts in general, but I have some Larch also. Especially for my ELB battleshafts. They have a good weight in them and do fly just great.
