We thank you all for your support--I mean that from the bottom of my heart.  Earl is more of a man than I'll ever hope to be, and deserves so much better--the best I can do is to help him have his wish to stay home.

I talked it over with my wife last night, and we made a hard decision.  I've decided that for now I'm not going to take any new orders, except DVD's which she can handle for me.  I don't want to keep anyone waiting, and right now I just can't get the orders filled.

I will get all pending orders taken care of as soon as I can, and if anyone rather have a refund I totally understand and there will be no hard feelings.

I am NOT closing the doors for good--I just have to take care of the most important things first, and right now that is Earl.  I'll try to update folks here, and on my site, as to when I'll be able to start back up.  I expect it to be several weeks, but I'll get back at it as soon as possible.

Thank you again for your understanding and support.

Earl went on to hunt with his dad Saturday, August 11th, at 4:00 pm.  We laid his body to rest yesterday.  He went quietly in his sleep.  Even with the pain and the drugs, he was sharp as a razor even Friday night, carrying on with friends and family and even told me where the tv remote was when I couldn't find it (right where I'd left it).  After he went to sleep Friday night, he never really came back.

I could type pages and pages about Earl, but I'll keep it short--even this is more than he'd want.  He was an amazing man, but also quiet and very humble.  Knowing him was an honor and a priveledge, and being able to spend those last couple of weeks with him was a blessing in disguise.  We had a lot of great conversations.

Please keep his family and friends in your prayers.  Don't worry about Earl anymore--he's in a better place.

Chad, I'm so very, very sorry I somehow missed this when you first posted. I will always remember the two times I was privelidged to shoot with Mr. Earl at Elberton. He was definately "quite the man", with a wit and humor that many hope for but few actually have. What I admired most was even as cancer ravaged his body, his attitude was positive and twinkle in his eye revealed the heart of a fighter who refused to give up....and smiled the whole time.

My deepest sympathies to his family, you, and his friends. Deeply saddened....I can say no more.

I'm sorry for your loss. It nice to see there are people out there that still take the most important things first. Family and freinds are more important than work or money in my opinion. I'm glad you stuck by your friend and will be praying for you and everyone that knew him.

It doesn't matter how or what you shoot, as long as you hit your target.
