Man, all that bottomland looked like my old place down on the Suwannee River in N.FL! Miss me some palmettos now...I could set up a natural blind in 60 seconds flat!

Nice looking setup sir.....

Not a lot of snakes when you have a lot of hogs....they get eaten up pretty fast... I've only seen one copperhead there. [/b]
I knew I liked pork for a reason. I'm with Roger, I'm not a fan of snakes. I know a lot of guys think skins are pretty on bows, but that's the last thing I want my bow to look like!  :readit:

Anyway, the setup looks first rate. Enjoy the hunt boys and looking forward to the stories.

Mark, let me tell ya man. I hate snakes!!!!!!! I've been to the strip a few times in Sept and Jan. Only saw one little guy. He was high tailing it away from me. Dd I say I hate snakes!

Great place to hunt with some great hosts. Don't you sweat the killing part. I myself have yet to get get a hog down there but have some awesome memories of the hunts. The kill will be a bonus! Enjoy!

I have to say, this is informative as far as blinds go, but it really sad for me as Mark had an anxiety attack and didn't make the hunt, and he passed away soon after.  I really wish this hunt had of taken place.  He would have had a ball.

So sorry to hear about another Brother of the Bow gone. Thank you Terry for this choice in blind, reed fencing, I think I'm going to try it this year, its simple and easily setup.

I really wish this hunt would have happened as well. Mark was a good friend. Really miss shooting with him a few times a week.

I miss seeing Mark at ETAR and chatting with him.

Yeah, I miss him too for sure.

All the upside down palmettos are hanging on my wool, as stated in the other thread hemp twine might be better that wally world wool yarn.  Either way both will biodegrade.

You have to look for a sagging horizontal line also.  Like the other thread, I mostly up it for a back drop, but as you can see I uses a hanging line on the Taj Ma Hut so that when the limbs settled the two weeks before he got there, the reed fencing would still be covered.

It was really cool designing these 'drive in' blinds.
