I really like Hawk arrows from Bill Stroupe and have had good luck with Wildcat Canyon and Sticks and Feathers as well.

Living in Australia (buffs and hogs)you might want to try some hickory shafts

Google Wildcat Canyon Archery in Durango, CO. Milt Beens is an arrow artists and keeps plenty shafts on hand. Service if fast, friendly and honest.

Is it too late to be what I could have been?

Why don't you get in touch with Alan Kidner, he lives in MacKay and makes a very nice arrow!  He is a good guy to deal with  :bigsmyl:  Joseph
