Chronographed a couple of my bows:

Bow #1:
50lb. R/D longbow:

536 Grain Arrow: 161 FPS

Bow#2:

52lb. R/D Longbow:

536 Arrow: 166 FPS..

Are these numbers decent for the draw weights??? I was wondering if shooting a 3 blade Wensel would be compatible with this speed and mass calculation...

Thank you

JRY309

I'm not sure what you are asking? 1.50 lb. R/D longbow,is that the physical weight of the bow? What are the draw weights of the bows?

Gator1

Sorry,

I was typing too fast.
I have updated...

The numbers are fine for a WW head. The bow performance depends on your draw length.

My Widow PL shoots a 10 grn per lb in the 170's but I draw nearly 30 inches. 600 grn arrow about 175 fps.

My target bow,a Dalaa shoots a 375 grn arrow 212 fps. Shooting about 7 grn per lb.

Ya still do not say how long a draw, if they at 26 or 27"s than they are Ok but if the yare at 28"s or more than they are not all that great! Shawn

My draw length is 28", and my CX250's are cut to
29 7/8"s...

Should I go down a little in arrow weight to pick up some speed????

katman

I wouldn't change length if they are flying good, you will increase your speed but loose mass, almost a wash as far as KE goes. I think the WW would work fine for you.
shoot straight shoot often
