This forum is overflowing with good things about Bob Morrison and his bows, but I just had to add to it today.

Without a lot of details that aren't relevant, there were some problems with an earlier associate of Bob's shaping of my recurve riser that didn't match the one I'd sent to be copied.

I'd shown it to Bob and now that he's working mostly on his own, he wanted to make it right.  And did he! There was no real reason Bob should have "stepped up" that way, but that is how I've come to know the man and only one of the many reasons I respect him as I do. He made me a truly wonderful replacement and I'm indebted to him. I have my Morrison back. And it fits me! Hot diggity!  :)

Having spent a tiny bit of time around one or 2 traditional custom bowyer shops, I can say that the amount of time and handwork put into today's bows is outrageous...and these guys work for "chump change" especially grinding that miserable glass lams! ugh.

The learning and refinements that Bob incorporates into his bows alone is amazing. To have him go above and beyond the call, as he so often does and is testified to here, makes him someone I look up to.  His bows are flat out performers, but the man behind the bows is what makes them so special.

Thanks, Bob.

Seems that every time you speak to someone who has dealt with Bob much has a hero story.I know I do.The picture in my avitar is one of bob's bow's.Fine man and a find bow.funny how that works uh!
Your best shot is only as good as your next one!

the Ferret

I heard he looks like Brad Pitt.

Thanks Mickey...just spit my softdrink all over the keyboard.....I do believe that Bob and you could pass for brothers....with the third brother being Tim Conway.   :bigsmyl:
Bob also makes some of the neatest bows on the market.

What did I start...???

Started out as a testament and ending up to be a ROAST!   :bigsmyl:

If Bob looks like Brad Pitt, it'd have to be sans hair! I'd never seen Bob without his hat on and he starts talking to me without his hat at PBS in B-more and I had no idea who he was! He didnt' let me forget that too soon.   "[dntthnk]"

I've bought 2 bows from him in the past 7 years.  Have not needed to test his waranty policiesm yet.  He has always been great to talk to and put up with all my changes of order and constant bugging.
Yall are right "One of the good guys!"

I've heard nothing but great stuff about his wood ILF risers too.  Leave it to Bob Morrison to make an ILF recurve quiet enough to satisfy James Wrenn!

I used to have a Morrison Classic LB and it's one of those bows I regret trading, but it was just a touch short for me.  Great workmanship, but that goes without saying.

Bob built me a long bow about 18-20 years ago, 66" 67#@26". Sold that bow about a year ago, it was getting a tad heavy. Well I'm back to working out and shooting 65#'s now, kinda wished I had that bow back. The very first arrow out of that bow shot at a Whitetail harvested a nice Ohio 10 point with two white spots on it's neck. I think that bow might have had some Mojo.
With all that being said, Bob is indeed one fine gentleman. Tim Conway, I can see that!

shedhunter

he'd be alot better if he learned to stop at a gas station sooner, and watch the road instead of the scenery above timber line towing a quad and trailer around hairpin turns at 50MPH with signs that say 15 MPH !!!!!!!!!!!!!  :bigsmyl:  ron

PS:  in all honesty.. he's the best and his wife (I mean BOSS)is purty too!!!!!  LOL

Str8Shooter

Gotta agree with everything you guys have said. I just got a new to me Cheyenne and it's a fantastic bow. Even better is the the fact that Bob spent a good bit of time talking bows, hunting, and other stuff with me even though I wasn't buying anything. He's got my business in the future.

Hard to top what you guys have all said, but your all 100% right! Bob's one of the best no questions about that. Four of Bob's bows in the house now and no desire to own anything but more Morrisons!Bob builds the finest bows on earth in my opinion!

Bob makes a great bow, knows his stuff, is good to work with.

But this Brad Pitt stuff.....

But now that I think about the Ferret thing, maybe.
Could be that everyone from Ohio looks alike.
