Hey all.....I saw 2 york recurve bows (possibly youth models, both very shortbut listed with 28 in draw) in a antique shop my wife asked me to go to with her.  Not familiar with them and didn't see any info on the internet about them.  The store owner was asking $50 each, justwondering if they were worth picking up.....Charlie

Buckeye,
Wife shoots a York, Cadet ,34# @28", 60" long. It also appears to be a kids bow or a bow with a small handle. Killed her first deer last year with it. She loves to shoot it.

At one time York bows were made in Independence Mo. I assume it would be the same company. Dont know if you could search thruogh there or not. Call Earl Foster at B and B Archery in Raytown Mo.(816-763-2699) I'm sure someone in the shop can give you more info than I can. Good luck hope this helps.bretto

My first hunting recurve was a York bow.

Missed my first archery deer with it. :^)

Sounds a bit high for a York cadet.  If it is a  "right price", he is asking top dollar.  I wouldn't go more than about $35.00 each.

Keep in mind that in a Pawn Shop, the asking pricee and the selling price are two totally different figures.  Offer him $50.00 for the pair and see where it goes.

I got one in a Pawn Shop in Charleston a few years back for $15.00. Right place at the right time.

The most important part of your hunting setup is the broadhead.  The rest is just the delivery system.
