Windknot

'Nother Englander here, just over the border in Very Wet West Somerset.

Nice pheasant, btw!
Always keep an edge on your knife, 'cause a good sharp edge is man's best hedge against the vague uncertainties of life.

UKarcher

Windknot, where in West Somerset? I'm in Williton. Fish, my American girlfriend is over here at the moment and she tried some farmhouse cider. Her face said it all, although she did add a few words that I can't repeat. Then she made me drink it for her.

Oh yeah, welcome from sunny Florida (100` with 550% humidity) and the soggy Republic of Yorkshire.
All I want on my headstone is:-
He was a good Daddy.

Killdeer

"Nope, didn't get a bite all morning. We eat loads of "fish and chips" at the local market there."

Had to make do with a cod piece, eh? (Oh no! Not another fish joke!!!)

I love the colors and composition of your avatar photo, it looks like a magazine cover to me. Welcome aboard, and I think the 'nondescript' bow is a lood-looking bow.

Killdeer  :wavey:
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

"instinctive archery" is more like playing the violin. Without practice you may remember the mechanics, but you will not be a virtuoso.

Welcome, Fish.  Nice pheasant you got there.

Wow, this really is an international site!

UKarcher, I love that quote "Vegetarian bowhunters of England:- Brotherhood of The Bean"

Sorry to hear that bowhunting is illegal in England.  After God and family, bowhunting is most important to me.  Life would be a lot less fun without it.  Perhaps we take it for granted over here.......
"He has also made me as a select arrow, He has hidden me in His quiver." - Isaiah 49:2
