Is this good arrow speed from homemade lam bow?

I borrowed a chronograph to get some numbers off my first lam bow, a 64" TD longbow I finished a couple of weeks ago - roughly based of Binghams pronounced but shorter limbs and riser.  They all seem in the ball park of my recurves of comparable weight so I am really happy - with 9 grains per pound coming in around 182 fps.  I don't have a good bow scale (make that I don't have a bow scale), but hung some weights and measured and I think its about 49# at 28" and about 47# at my draw length.  Also, it is wearing a twisted up 14 strand B50 string, will be interesting to see what D97 does for it.  Here's the numbers:

arr wt   GPP   speed
560   11.9   161
555   11.8   163
500   10.6   169
445   9.5   177.8
425   9.0   182.5
488   10.4   168
475   10.1   171

It was getting late to re-do some numbers, but most were shot with my old well grooved shooting glove (a new Big Shot on order) but the 9 grain per pound was shot with a new tab and was about 4 FPS faster than with the glove.

Here's the bow:

And though I like the 3555 GoldTips with 200 grains up front (500 gr total) the bow does seem to like these 560 grain woodies as well!!

Kenny,

That's actually the hide off of a partially piebald buck I arrowed (with....ahem....my compound bow) about 5 years ago.  Off a little 42 acre urban piece of heaven in and amongst neighborhoods but still butts up on some sizeable chunks of land...including a 300 acre Girl Scout Camp!    :D   Can you say, No Hunting Sanctuary!

Think I've killed 16 deer off there in 4 seasons including my first 3 traditional deer.  Kinda partial to that place.

I'd say that was decent speeds and a nice looking bow to boot!

Those numbers are plenty good. Those Bingham designs are hard to beat.

Well Mike....ive got a good looking piece of plywood in my shop now, along with a nice looking riser patern than may give Binghams design a run for their money....thanks bro!  your package arrived yesterday....let me now what you think of the boo....Kirk

Man that was quick. The boo should be here today. The 36 pounder I have now(not finished at 28 390 grn is close to 155 fps. Its a 62 in. I think with a little tweakig it will do ok.
