Chad-

Just curious what your brace height and nock point is. Also, does the 60 inch bow feel stiff at all at your draw length. i have a 29 inch draw length and am leaning towards the 62 inch bow, but I'm still considering the 60 incher as well.

BD I'm sure Chad will chime in but I'd say go for the 60". The static tips make that bow draw like a longer bow. Really smooth!

Hey Rod, I bought one of your cases from Chad Weaver to put my Rivers Edge in. I absolutely love the case. Very well designed and tough. The bow is pretty awesome too. It's everything everyone said.

BD, The 60" works fine for me and i'm pulling it 29 1/2".. Myself, I prefer a 62" bow but this one is fine at my draw length.

Jamie, Man you sure parted with a great bow. Thanks!  :bigsmyl:   I payed LeRoy back for you by trading him out of it.  :D

I own a 54" Arroyo and I draw just shy of 29"s and this bow is smooth to 30"s. You could shoot the 58"er with a 29" draw, no problem! Shawn

I draw 29" on both my Vortex's. one is 60" and the other is 62"- both are smooth and quiet but a slight edge in speed goes to the 60". Never chrono'd but just my perception with the same arrows.

Kevin really makes a shooter doesn't he boys. Heck it's even got Mister Zipper singing the RER praises.

I like this bow alot but my zippers will always have a home. I'm gonna rune the RER through the chrono in the morning along side my zipper just to see how they compare. Should be interesting!

Chad-

Any chrono results yet? I'm very curious.

I bet dollars to donuts the RER is quicker and by quite a bit. I have owned both and I know to my eye the RER was the faster and quieter bow as well. Zippers are very nice, but are not for me. Shawn

Golden Hawk

i haven't shot the Zippers much Shawn but I'm betting you're right about the RER being faster. How bout it Chad ole Buddy what's the verdict?

What was that bet again LeRoy and Shawn???  :bigsmyl:  I was with Chad yesterday when he ran both bows through the chrono.  I'll let him post the results when he gets to work tonight..but don't bet your lunch money on much of a speed difference...you may get hungry.  :help:

Shawn Leonard

In the recurve world 5-6 fps. is a lot. I also know that the testing would be the best Chad could do but ya actually need a shooting machine to really know. Shawn

I'm guessin it was pretty close but i'm still thinkin the RER by a nose.

I know that Shawn. I'll let Chad give the numbers.  He shot numerous arrows out of each bow and then averaged the speed.  The RER was just a tad faster but it's also 2 lbs. heavier draw weight and two inches shorter in length.  From what I saw I'd have to call it a draw.

Shawn Leonard

I find that hard to believe, as I shot a 47# Vortex along side of a 50# Zipper with LB limbs(I ws told they are only 2fps.than the recurve limbs) and the Vortex was definitely quicker, but I believe ya, just did not see that with my eye to eye comparison. Shawn

I can be happy with a tie. Both are well made bows.

Yes, I was impressed with both bows. A bowhunter could be happy shooting either one.
