Well, I thought maybe someone in the area would have lead for me to follow-up on.

My wife and 3 kids are planning a trip to Silverwood and I am looking for a cabin or maybe a camper to rent in the area for 2 nights (july 10 & 11).  We are kinda planning this a little late and it looks like rooms are a little hard to find.

We can always go the tent route but I just had back surgery (6/23) and a bed makes the night a little more pleasent for all partys involved.

thanks, brian

You know, I can't remember for sure, but I think there's a pretty nice campground right at Silverwood (like right across the street near the parking lot?)  Also, there's a motel just south of the park (can't remember which one right now) that's always advertising here in Missoula on the radio...anyway, the motel has a waterpark and "fun center" attached as well.  Couple guys I know have taken their families there and it got a thumbs up.  I'll try to remember which one it is and post again.

Brian, Silverwood has a campground but it will probably be packed. A nice option might be to stay in a motel in Sandpoint, only 25 min away. You can get a good nights sleep and kids can go to the lake.... etc. Bayview might have something but it is short notice. Let me know if I can help. Mike

Brian, If I were you I would stay at Farragut State Park. If you go north on Highway 95 just a mile or two north of Silverwood you will be in Athol there is only one stop light take a right and go about five miles and you will go into the park. There are plenty of signs that are easy to follow. I will be moving to Athol that weekend if you cant find a place to camp let me know you can stay at my place or I know some other places to camp.

If you are looking for a room Lone Hunter has the right idea. Can't really think of any cabins offhand.

Traffic is bad both ways but Sandpoint would be the lesser of the two evils.
