I was asked to teach the Archery Merit Badge to a group of 8 Boy Scouts in early July.  One of the requirements is "Make a bowstring."  Since at summer camp they typically end up making an endless loop sting, I thought I'd be different and have them learn to make a Flemish twist string (besides that I have the jig already).  Does anyone have any old B50 they don't use that they would like to sell cheap or give to me for this project (I'd pay the postage)?

I have the "make an arrow from a bare shaft" requirement covered by a donation of shafts from a friend who makes Douglas Fir shafts, the fletching I bought at 3 Rivers when it was on sale, and nocks purchased from the Bi-Mart closeout section, field tips that I've had for a while so that is covered.  The troop is buying the targets and we have a few traditional bows coming out of the woodwork and I was able to repair a number of old arrows to use in the shooting requirement.   So everything is pretty much covered but the string.  Anyway-thanks.  Mods, if this isn't the place for this, or it violates a rule, please move it or delete it.
