Kansas in the summertime

So, what does a bowhunter do in Kansas in the summertime???   Why, bow fish, of course!  Fishing Lake Clinton, west of Lawrence.  Fish were hard to come by, but we got a few.  First picture is myself, a friends son, and one of the carp we shot.  I am in the middle, Nate Snethen on the right, and carp on the left     :D        Second picture is a drum I shot late in the day.  Good fun.

Your right Charlie. Looks like way too many trees for Kansas to me.

He's not THAT far west of Lawrence!      That is one of the main reasons I like it in SE Ks.  We have trees in other places besides people's yards.

The company I work for has about 800 acres of land that we can hunt and fish on, about 500 of those are thick stands of hardwood timber.  It's like a big play ground for me and only five miles from home.
