Just came in yesterday. My first custom bow. It is a Hunter II 64" 52#@28, the riser is shedua and bubinga with black locust limbs. Got it from a fellow Gangmember. I just started shooting trad in February so I'm hoping that the 64" length will equal some added forgiveness(I need all I can get). It is a little loud, but I think a few days of playing with the BH and swapping the beaver balls for some string leeches or cat whiskers may fix that. The last shot is a group from about 15yds. One thing that I noticed is the smooth draw as compared to the 58" Grizzly that I have been shooting.

It doesn't matter how or what you shoot, as long as you hit your target.

Very nice bow... I almost bought that one from Rick myself then, I realized it was 64" and I wanted something a touch shorter.  Try Bowhush, and hushpuppies on the bow, and that will keep it quiet!  Congrats on a great bow!

Yeah, 64" was a little longer than I was looking for, but I have been told that a longer bow would be a little easier to learn to shoot with. I hope that is the case.

Same here, I like my 68" Sabre TD I got earlier in the year from Chad at recurves.com. Bill G.

My CHEK-MATE (Hunter I) is without a doubt the smoothest most accurate recurve that I have ever shot, and I have shot a few.Congratulations

Conrats on the Chek-Mate. Sweet looking bow. It should be a real smooth shooter at 64". My Hunter II is 62" and I wouldn't part with it. We have 2 others in the family and love them all.
Enjoy the bow.

Nice bow,I like the longer ones myself but I draw nearly 30 inches.

Play with the BH and whiskers is what they come with. I love mine too...

check your brace height also..if its out your bow can be a bit louder,,bow hush is great and cat wiskers have been around for sometime now doing an awsome job as well.

Congrats!! I love my chek-mates

I love this bow more each time I shoot it. I have had a problem with reaching full draw before releasing(TP) since starting trad in February. This bow is so smooth, that my form has improved and I short-draw much less. I have twisted the BH up to about 8 1/2" and that has made a big difference in both noise level and arrow flight.

ME THINKS I'M GONNA LIKE THIS BOW!

One bow. One arrow. My ideal.
