my cousin that has only been shooting a few weeks asked if he could try a long shot, so I set up a milk jug at 20 yards, he made it his first shot and fourth shot out of five shots, I am proud of him, thats around what I am shooting

I love the sound of an arrow hitting a milk jug!

Good job!

That used to be my favorite target! Every day I would go to the woodlot next door and hang some jugs, some with target marks drawn on the four sides, and thwack 'em with blunts. What a blast! Noisy!! Both the crack of the blunt on plastic and the laughter warbling out through the underbrush!
:biglaugh:

The woods are apartments now, a dry, hot, sterile, overcrowded collection of taxable income. Shame. My shooting sucks, now, too.  :(

Killdeer~use those targets, and your open space while you can!
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Someday you and I will take the Great Hart by our own skill alone, and with an arrow. And then the Little Gods of the Woods will chuckle and rub their hands and say, "Look, Brothers. An Archer! The Old Times are not altogether gone!"
