My local shop just put a 40% off sale on Easton Aluminum arrows. I just picked up a dozen fletched (5" feathers), cut and with insert 2114's for the low $40's.  They have a camo pattern but I can't remember what it is (Mossy Oak maybe). Is Easton getting out of the Aluminum arrow business?

I'm tempted to clean out their inventory on arrows I may need in the future.

Spmetime a while back I heard that they were going to "phase" out some of thier lesser popular sizes.  The impression that I got was they would still be making some of them but not to many.

I guess if we run into the bear that is making these tracks, we oughta just get off the trail.......He seems to like it!

The Cabalas catalog shows them in new sizes; 300,500.etc,like carbons.

i don't think they are getting rid of aluminum. i would believe they are cutting out some of their unpopular sizes cuz i shoot 2013's and they are getting pretty hard to find. the new black gamegetters are coming in 300, 400, 500 just like the other easton carbon arrows. but as far as i know they are still sticking with the other sizes for camo hunter xx75's, and super slams.

I was recently at the retail location for the archery wholesaler, Norman Archery.  They had been informed by Easton that they would only continue to produce five (5) aluminum shaft sizes.

If it's in your way, move it.

I can see why they are cutting out some sizes.  I find the 2114's and 2016's to be virtually identical in how they perform with my bow.  The grain per inch amount is slightly different, but I can't see a difference in how they fly.

I picked up more 2016's at the 40% off price.  They fly perfectly out of my Fedora Jr. Big East (48# at my drawlength of 26-1/2").  I cut them to 28".

It's good to see the 2016 is being continued as a 500.  It looks like they are just trying to standardize their sizing.

yes but a 2219 is heavy almost 14 grains per inch so is the 2020  tough consistent arrows the 340=2315 is 12 grains per inch and is also larger diameter  so i hope they are going to keep the 2219 2216 and 2020 im going to send easton an mail maybe they will answer me

We're a small market comparatively and most compound shooters use carbons. It only makes good business sense to go where the money is. Unfortunate for us aluminum shooters.

I stopped in a store today while traveling for business:

They had maybe 3 dozen 1916s and some 18?? @ ~$36 a dz. but less than a dz. 2016s.  Just FYI if anyones looking for some of those smaller diameter shafts.
FWIW, according to Google, the owner's name is Howard Hill.

I just talked to Easton yesterday and asked them the same question, they told me that they will be in the alum business for along time to come, no plans whatsoever to faze them out.

I'm trying to find 2016s and 2117s with the super uni bush system--
