Mr Vic at the cabin

First let me say howdy again to my brothers and sisters, and thank you for the words on last post I had. Haven't had time to post a proper thank you, so THANK YOU. Been hiding out in nature and from a modern world seeking my vision. And a lot of you are with me. Any of you real primitive traditional archers out there dress the part?? other than you Bowmac (mean ugly french rogue) cause i'm looking for some things. Looking for 1700's type jewlery (ear rings, arm bands, bracelets etc etc) to play the part of a 1700's Native with a primitive attitude and look. Thanks Caster for the cane shafts. I know you folks and there is many, will have ideas on where to look or where i can trade for such things. PM me please. MOD'S If this isn't traditional archery related cast it to the winds and I will be gone with my brother.    Mato Cante

Boy do you have room to talk about a "mean ugly French rogue"? Anyhow they call me Monsieur Fouet Du Bois!!!!!!!! If you are not wanting anything fancy Vic I can come up with brass arm cuffs. If you are still on get ahold of me. Trad Shoot only this weekend at the Ottumwa Ikes. Maybe you could come shoot a little. If you still remember how. Take care.

Misu,
i am having a good friend of mine make me a turtle necklace from a 1878 Morgan silver dollor. i will wear the necklace proud rather than let a dollor collect dust and look old. i'll see what else he can do as far as arm bands, i have been wanting a silver arm band myself but they are rather costly. will shoot ya a pm.

Brother Vic,

Sorry I can't help you more Brother, ever since I had 660 volts go through my arms and shoot out the top of my head.....I've developed "stupid fingers & dumb thumbs" I haven't really been able to craft anything in years.

I can offer you an opinion though.....

Back in the 1700's the Eastern Indians traded heavily with the French and English traders. One of the "goods" very much in demand were Colonial shirts. I'm sure you can find patterns for these and I'm sure they could be easily hand sewn.

I will also add.....Let your spirit be your guide.....If you like it,wear it!!!!! If you feel that "it" makes you look good.....It will!!!!!

A Colonial shirt, breechcloth, leggins, and moccasins,is about as "Native American" as you can get!!!!!

Take Care My Brother!!!!!
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

Any durn way they want, apparently! Thanks for making me Google up "fouet". They even told me how to pronounce it. Too funny to  this  lover of words!   :wavey:
