This is Milo.  He is my 3 year old Yellow Lab.  I am still waiting for him to start calming down but I wouldn't trade him for anything.

MISS KIM "Everyone should experience that unending love and devotion you can receive from a well loved dog." NO TRUER WORDS HAVE BEEN SPOKEN.

My Wife bought a Maltese for out daughter damned if I don't love that little girl like my own kid.

She has the sweetest personality and my wonderful wife said, she want 50 more like her, I could not disagree

Thanks for the pics & stories folks. Man I miss my ole dawg! Reminds of a line from that ole song, "Bojangles",..."after 20 years he still grieves".
I'll know when it's time for another "best" buddy.

After 14 years of love and lots of pheasant and duck hunting I had to put my best buddy down 3 weeks ago.

RIP Buck.

Great looking dogs everyone. Last Sunday our family lost a great friend Gracy, She was a thirteen year old Beagle that has given Me many days of enjoyment in the woods. Her loud shrill locate bark will always be remembered. I still have two from past litters to carry on the line. Freckles really came on last year and Josie sounds alot like Her mom. Can't wait till colder weather so we can get after those little bushy tails. Happy Hunting everyone.bretto

This is Fred my Wirehaired Dachshund, at 6 months. He is now 10 months old, a little woolier and has a better beard. I made a little trip last November to Darmstadt Germany to bring him back. Got to tag along and do some hunting with his relatives.  He is my best bud and blood trailing dog. I waited for him for nearly 2 years, and got a lot of help and advice from John and Jolanta Jeanneney in getting him home safe and legal. He was out of the "F" litter of the Kennel of the Bismarck Oak, so Fred seemed natural! Seems like there was a pretty prominent Bowhunter by that name too!       :D        He's coming along quite nicely. I really recommend John's book to everyone, even if you have no intention of training a tracking dog. The pages are full of good info for all hunters. CKruse

BTH

Here is Zoe. She's 16 years old and feeling her age. German Shepard mix. She was lightening fast and a great rabbit dog. Chasing them anyway; didn't help me hunt them.

And here is our god-dog, Beetle, with my wife Sara. Unfortunately Beetle met an untimely end last weekend. He lived on 100 acres with his parents and got in an accident. He will be sorely missed. He made a lot of friends in a short amount of time...including an inmate fire hand crew when his parents suffered a wildland fire on the property a couple of weeks ago. That's when this photo was taken as a matter of fact...the fire stopped just behind the trailer on the other side of those trees.
