And this shot was quartering away and hit a branch about 10 foot Infront of the deer and deflected and grazed her back she ran about 40 yards and fell down. I went to her right away and she was still very much alive so to end the suffering I shot her again.

Tower climber sent me some sharks a while back. I must say I accidentally cut myself more with those things more times than I ever did with anything else. They are wicked!

Kingsnake how the heck did you do that?

ermont

dlnwohio Holy crap dude. It looks like you shot that doe with an axe!

ermont

Yes Kingsnake, that pic definitely requires an explanation......and if it starts with...we had a couple of beers.........

Kingsnake

hahahah...OK.....Actually, no beers involved.  Anyhow, I had just finished showing a "wheelie" friend my new recurve/arrow/broadhead combo.  I FOOLISHLY leaned the arrow up against the end table and forgot about it.

Shortly thereafter, we were watching an old kung fu movie.  My friend commented on the ridiculous sound effects.  I....at 50 years of age...jumped up to emulate my fellow martial artists (complete with sound effects).  Jump Left...Jump Right...RIGHT onto the leaning broadhead.

The quiver was less than six inches from the arrow.  Why I didn't replace the arrow, I do not know.  But I DO know what I will do next time

I did the same thing except the top of my foot,,,,  living in a small condo there wasn't much space so I used to sit in my bed and set my arrows up while watching TV,,, well 3-blade heads always have a blade sticking up and I left one in the bed,, well you know how you pull your feet up to get out of bed well I ran my foot right over the head.. I feel for that guy..
