Ace 200 grain head....this deer took a complete pass thru, continued feeding, never spooked, and laid down within 40 yards.

Tracks

Seems like there are a lot of good options as long as the broadhead is sharp and you send it through the boiler room.

Glad someone pulled this one back up!  I've got a few more to add from last season.

All Simmons TreeSharks...

A few pics of the turkey's I shot this spring with a TreeShark up front. The turkey's were side by side and the Shark took them both out in one shot.

This is an awesome thread. I have to admit that the Simmons sure impress me with the massive holes and the way they open them up.  I ordered some tree sharks myself to try this year and cant wait.

I have been shooting Simmon's heads for a while these holes are the norm not the exception. I shot 2 gobblers this season with the treeshark the holes were big enough to put your hand and arm in.LCH

another TreeShark blood bath.. sorry for the poor pic but this is one of several  that fell to a treeshark last yr.  the side that you are looking at is the exit side. the cut half way back towards by her gut is where she hit a tree right before she fell. the entrance was in the last rib on her left side(quartering away shot at 10 yds) and exited out her right shoulder as you can tell. this is how my bro in law (widowdoublelung) and I found her.  needless to say i was fired up and almost floored by the amount of carnage these heads cause. Maybe this yr ill take more detailed pics.

A few more TreeShark victims.  One thing to note is the absence of the "narrow slit" you are supposed to get with 2-blade heads.  The TreeShark consistently produces sagging, football-shaped holes.

I just couldn't help myself. Ordered some tiger sharks and adapters this evening.

Chris, you need commision for all the excess biz Simmons is getting b/c of your pics

Pheonixarcher

I have to agree! Those Simmons are wicked! I think I might have to try some for myself. How well do they take and hold an edge, and how are they for durability? Can you use them for multiple kills, or are they a one shot wonder?
Haven't seen many photos from the single bevel clan, or from the VPA's either. What gives?
Plant a fruit or nut tree today, and have good hunting tomorrow.

PHXarcher, treesharks hold up well. I killed three deer with the same broadhead last yr. just keep resharpening. Only reason it didn't kill more was bc I wanted to give his quiver-mates some work too. I have had one tip curl just slightly when I hit the shoulder ball n socket but I easily filed it down and it's ready to go

Chris, any progress on the new sharpening system you were working on?

We're still prototyping, but are getting really close.  Just making some final tweaks now.
