Pat B.

I got some new feathers recently and the quills on them are both thick and wide... Much more so that feathers I've used in the past(I bought 1000 feathers about 20 years ago and they're about gone).

Is there an easy way to grind or sand the quills on these new feathers to a reasonable size ?? If not I guess they're going, going, gone !!!

Pat B

Pat, I use my straight JoJan fletch clamp and belt sander when I'm grinding featers. Works well for me. I beleive Dean Torges has a wood clamp that he has posted with dirrections on how to grind feathers.    Pat

PS - grinding them down is easy Pat. just like Pat said.  :)

I had some that were wide like that and I used a pair of sissors on them. Worked fine. Hap
