I was in Colorado for vacation, and even Denver has a Bass Pro Shop!  So after wandering around on the HUGE 2-floor compound of an outdoor store, I found the Archery section.
Where I live, almost nobody shoots trad, but 3/4 of the people I talked to shot, or owned a trad bow. After talking to the people, they were kind enough to let me shoot one of their Martin Nirk Rebels. It was really great, I really like the little bow.
Anyways...
The one that they had looked like it had a darker riser, not the Maple one that is on Martin's site.  I have seen the Rebels advertised with laminated shedula risers, Ovankol risers, solid and laminated maple risers, and even mahogany limbs.
Am I missing something?
If they are different, is there a difference in the different woods?
The wind messed me up, what were you thinking?

I don't know a thing about the Martins but there is a great trad shop in Denver you could have stopped in.  Rocky Mountain Specialty Gear.  Keep it in mind for next time.

Not really sure about the woods and such but i have had a few Martin bows, revelation, stick , mamba , etc..... and all of them were very nice shooters......Martin is as fine a bow as any out there for the money.

My brother in law has a rebel and it's amazingly quiet. My only problem with it is that @ 28" it seems to stack pretty bad but there great for shooting out of blinds, 48" when strung I think.
