Good for you!!!

Love them Bear TDs.

I've always thought they were the best looking T.D. made.  I just got a new one this past Friday.  It has 70# limbs and I took it out Saturday morning and shot a 240 with it on a 3-D course shooting the hunter stakes.  Man I'm glad I got one finally!

No matter what anyone says. The new Bear TD's are quality bows that shoot very well. Yes, they may have had some problems, but I believe that these will go away in the next couple of years. Bear has really been paying attention to the Traditional Bowhunter as of late. I have a 2011 Red Stripe and it shoots great. My friend has a new Bubinga and loves it. I have another friend who has had issues with a cracked riser, but Bear customer service took care of him each time. He now has a sweet shooting Red Stripe as well.

Trust me they are not all like that. I sure wish there where though.

I have had my new Bubinga Bear TD for about a week now. No problems of any kind, very quite, shoots were you point and is a beautiful bow.

My biggest surprise was the performance.

Earlier today I had this big brown truck interrupt me while I was doing my outside chores.  He dropped off a box that had "BEAR" stenciled on the side of it.

Seems the guys in Fla. finally decided to ship my new Bubinga handle "B" riser take down bow.  I just got finished putting it together and playing with it some.  Fit and finish are on a par with any custom bow I have ever gotten in, the Bubinga is beautiful, nice skinny limb tips....  all in all one of the nicest bows I have ever gotten in and without a doubt, the prettiest bow Bear Archery has ever made in my opinion.  Looking forward to setting it up and playing with it some over the next couple of days.

Here is a photo of my "A" riser with 54 pound #3 limbs. It was looking a little rough when I got it so I spent some time with it with some polishing compound and a soft cloth.  Came out looking pretty good.

Hey all,

Which one of the TD's would be the least expensive to pick up used?  Lets say I want an A handle and whatever limbs make a 60 inch or so bow and 45 pound draw.

I would take a MAG riser, but would prefer the usual Bear TD.

Just so I can maybe start putting some money back for the time I can get one.

Does anyone have pics of ALL different color schemes on the Bear TD over the years?  That would be awesome to see.

Thanks

Nala, the A riser can be found only in the first original models and then in the late 90's with the Brown Stipe,or the newer Red Stripe and Bubinga.I think the Bubinga is pretty attractive, well done, from what I hear here, and right priced, plus you can have the poundage that you like.

The most thrifty combination would be a magnesium TD riser and some red tip Grayling limbs. You will get a lot more performance for a few extra bucks if you get a set of Bear fast flight limbs. The Rose Oak limbs are even more expensive and smokin fast.

The red stripe and bubinga models are 819 for a complete bow. You can pick up an A-mag (that needs refinishing) and used limbs for about half that or a touch more.

I have 3 TDs set up now and one is an A-mag with modern fast flight Bear limbs. It is a very sweet bow.

You can't go wrong with any combination.
