Well I did it. B riser and #3 limbs are on the way. I shot that combo Sunday and was very impressed with how smooth it was all the way to 31". It felt like I was holding a piece of history.

I may take my Bear red stripe out next time I go, maybe it will change my luck !!
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

I love my Bear Kodiak Takedowns.

That's impressive. So many bows , so little time.

The OP said Bear Takedowns so I'll add my Bear Hunter TD's to the thread. These are the economical takedowns Bear Archery made at the Gainesville Florida plant from 1988 to 2001 with the bolt on limbs.  They are excellent shooting bows. The one on the left I had camo dipped, the one on the right I had just the limbs camo dipped, and I put antler limb bolts on both of them.

Didn't hunt today so I finally had time to put my new to me mag takedown together and do a bit of shooting. Took about 5 minutes to get it shooting the same arrows as I shoot from my Widow PTF. I'm pretty impressed with this little bow! It will serve as a back op to the PTF for the rest of this season, but I think it will be my primary bow for spring turkey and at least some of the 3D shoots. Great little bow!

I have been a takedown fan for years, especially the old magnesium  models. I used to buy them re-furbish the bad ones, keep for awhile and then sell them. At one point I had about 30 sets of the limbs. Love those old bows and happy to see Bear is bringing back a metal riser takedown!

I received my all black 50th anniversary bow back in the fall and have been enjoying shooting it.  I just received the two tone one yesterday.  Gorgeous wood in the riser of this one.  A riser with 45 pound #3 limbs.

I've had 2 wood ones a 1 mag riser. They are great bows. Should have kept one of the B riser ones. The A riser site window was to small for my preference.

I think I may have a problem!  :bigsmyl:
