Wolfkiss, you may want to give Bowdoc a call. He may be able to fix it.

I have never shot the Bear take down. Is there a difference between an old TD compared to a new TD. Thank you.

Here's a trio which shows (left to right) the 2011 dymondwood red striper, the 2012 bubinga, and a green striper from the 80's.

The grip on my bubinga is thinner/narrower and similar to the 80's takedown.  The 2011 model I have has a thicker grip, but I find they all shoot very well for me and I find it tough to pick a favorite.

Here's another view of the difference in the 2011 and 2012.

I keep getting bitten by all sorts of critters it seems.    :dunno:

BTW Nick, your trio of mag risers almost bit me, but someone saved me at the last minute.  :D

These Bear TD risers have certainly taken me by surprise and what a way to go.

I finally shot a Bear TD today. I am a dyed in the wool LB shooter, but let me tell you , I may have to own one eventually . Aside from the nostalgia aspect of it, the bow is dead in the hand and just feels phenomenal. The one I shot had a very narrow grip and just fell into the hand. BUT comming from straight limbed and mild D/R LBs the noise that recurves make is way more than I am used to. Even when guys are shooting their personal bows and have them quieted down good, the noise from recurves is something that turns me away. BUT the TD just felt right.

450 marlin

Picked up an early A-Mag riser a while back that was completely spray bomb green..thought I would spruce it up today before putting on the 45# number 3 limbs, figured I can always repaint it a solid color later.

You put some time into that A mag 450 marlin. Cool.

Go get em Sam, I am sure with your track record you will put some blood on the ground!
Hunting was hazardous, but at least it guaranteed the freedom of the individual.

There is no doubt that the onset of farming saw the end of leasure for the majority of people, who were destined to toil in the fields.
