Does adding sand to carbons alter your spine if so how much?

Without any personal experience with sand I'd still have to say it would do a number on the spine... not to mention what it would do to the weight of the shaft.  :scared:

Go heavy on the spine and put every ounce up front. My 640gr GT's have 400 gr on the front and fly like darts.

Dan...been down that road and it ain't worth it. Load them up on the front end till they shoot right is my advice.

If you still need more weight look at weight tubes, or aquarium hose..accomplishes the same thing with less mess and time.

Adding anything to the full length of the shaft that adds weight without adding spine of its own, will reduce the dynamic spine of the shaft. I feel like I must have typed that a thousand times now and I may have. Sand will also make it nearly impossible to get good flight. Weight tubes will add weight with the least amount of effect on spine.
