My first near encounter with carp came when I was about 5 years old. My grandmother had taken my cousin (who was about 8 years old), my sister, and I  to the city park in Evansville, Indiana. (We walked right by the plant where Indian Archery was located.)

With the help of my grandmother and cousin I was outfited with a broomstick, heavy cotton cord, and a large hook baited with bread. I had the broomstick  laying on a concrete drain and the hook and bread were just barely visible in about two feet of water.

I sat there for awhile leaning out to watch the bait. After a while I looked away for a moment and when I looked back there was this huge fish inspecting the bait. That's where I made a mistake by announcing what I was seeing. My cousin ran over, grabbed the broomstick, and gave it a vicious yank out of the water. At that point this grandad carp turned and disappeared into the depths of the dark waters of Garvins Park.

Thinking back, I wonder if a 5 year old would have any chance of landing a 20-30 pound carp. That was 58 years ago. Funny, but it seems almost like yesterday.

I, and everyone else that I know that has one, really really love these quivers...and TwoFletch is as nice a fella as you will ever do business with.

If you are ever on I-40 between Greensboro and Raleigh NC you should make a point to stop by and see Don...he makes some cool stuff!!!!

Thanks Don!!

Great lookin quiver, I will be proud to pair it with my bow.  The back waters of the Missouri are startin to warm up here a bit, carp shootin not to far off for us northerners.

Thanks Again,

Dakota Kid

The best thing about Carp is. The one with black trim ( second pic. ) would look even better hooked on my Black Bob Lee Long Bow.
Thanks,
Grant

Grant, I just answered your email. You're right, I believe one of these on a black Bob Lee Longbow would look good. They would do each other proud.

This is for all you carp lovers out there. I'm going to be making up the rest of the carp skin that I have and listing them in the Tradgang Sponsers Classified. They should show up in a day or so.
