Feathers can conceal poor tunning, how do the fletched and bare shaft group?
shoot straight shoot often

huntelk

I shoot both. The sitka's are definately not as tough as the alaskans. I shoot a 54# longbow with a 27" draw. The sitkas shoot like darts but the alaskans are too stiff.. I shoot the alaskans out of my 60# bow.

I have bare shafted carbon tech, carbon express etc.. and none shoot as well for me out of my 54# as the stikas.

I cut them to 28.5 and use the brass inserts.

Worth every penny..

Got the Sitka to fly perfectly outta my ACS today-finally. Just lowered the nock point about 3/16 and all the bad flight characteristics melted away. Ended up at 600 grains which was my target weight. The Alaskan flew good too with the lower nock setting; but 700 grains is a bit heavy for my 49# bow.

He means how close they group together, Jacob. Remember the bare-shaft tuning I described to you? It's were you shoot a group of fletched arrows and a group of unfletched ones, and compare the two...

i was considering the grizzlystiks, but have heard they can only be shot into bag targets. do you guys shoot into bails or foam targets with these arrows?

katman

Scot, I shoot them into foam, bags, 3D targets and deer.

TO, like bowspirit said, shoot 3 fletched and three bare shafts and if tuned will group very close with the bareshafts maybe slightly to the right(weak), paying attention to wear the point hits not the nock
shoot straight shoot often

I shoot them into everything.....somethings not planned......love them.
