Custom strings???

Shooting bows of 51-55 lbs... How many strands should a guy be shooting??

What are advantages to endless loop strings and padded strings???

Thank you

Big Dave

Gator1;  It depends on what string you use. I only have used B50 and you could get by with 14 strands but I nearly always use 16 strands.I really don't know any advantages of endless loop, I always use flemish strings and make them myself. A flemish string has twice as many strands in the loops. I've never made a padded loop because I've seen the need. My 2 cents   :D    :D    :D

Yep--depends on the material, and what you prefer.

For me:  14 strands of dacron;  12 strands of Dynaflight '97 (18 in the loops), 12-14 strands of 8125 (18 in the loops), 8-10 strands of 450+ (16 in the loops).  That's just my preferances.

Endless loop strings are generally a tad faster, flemish are generally quieter.  Either one will do the job just fine.

I like 9 strands of D-97 on my 55# longbow .
