Fur string silencers

I tried my hand at making string silencers for the longbow. I have some tanned coon tails.



I cut two thin strips for the silencers.



I wound them into the strands of the Flemish string.



I suppose the long hairs will fly off at some point leaving the short fluff. I will wait and see.
