Well, I finally got a much deserved day off to play today, and what a good day it has been!
  The morning started off with the first local 3D shoot of the year. As I got out of the car across the road from the local range something caught my eye in the ditch next to the road. When I checked it out I realized I had found my first shed antler of the year.

That was a good start! It must have been an omen because I shot good for a change! I shot with a neighbor boy and we had a good time, even ran into a tradganger (buks2hunt)And I met my goal of not missing a target today, I normaly blow at least one.
 After the shoot I decided that it would be a good day for a little knapping. So I dug out some rock and my favorite billet and started making big rocks into little rocks. I soon had a good supply of preforms made up and decided to make one into a knife blade. When it was finished I mounted it on a piece of antler.
 I made it deliberatly small because I wanted it for a neck knife after drooling over some I have seen here recently. It's 6 inches overall with 3" of working blade. I even had enough scrap leftover to make a nice little kneck sheath.

I wish everyday was good as today, And hope everyone at the Gang had a great day!

It was a good day for me, but not nearly as productive as yours! Congrats, and I hope that you are so blessed for the rest of the year!

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

I'd say a fine day indeed. Very nice outcome!!
