Don't have it yet but can't wait to show it off.  Ordered this from Doug Campbell about a month ago.  It's a late Christmas present to me from my family.  It's so purty I almost hate to use it.

No I understand it is really wooly mammoth tooth.  The stripes are the dentine and enamel lines in the folds of the tooth.  Check out dougs knife albums in sponser's classifieds.  He has a topic on this page with links to his knives as well.

Tshooter, I got one very similar to that late last week from Doug -- don't worry, I didn't get your knife!  I haven't even emailed Doug to thank him for it.  I'm all but speechless about it -- absolutely stunning.  I know you'll love yours every bit as much!  Doug is an amazing artist!!!      :notworthy:

That's a pretty one...but USE it!  That's what Doug makes em' for.   Best way to honor the builder.
