Wife and I are going to be in this great State for the first time as daughter moved there.  Planning on taking in as much as can, planning a visit to Herb's of Pronghorn Archery.  May get some shooting in too.  Is there any other hidden traditional archery gems there that not aware of?

Rich Wormington of Yellowstone Bows is up in Lovell.  There a lot of good TradGangers in that state

If you get near the NW part of the state, the Buffalo Bill Center of the West  museum has a lot of Indian items.  It is outstanding and you can't take it all in in one day.

The Cody museum is cool. Definitely make time to visit the gun portion of the museum, it's really interesting! If you're in Cody, it's pretty much a given that you need to go to the rodeo if it's that time of the year.

Yellowstone is cool, but extremely touristy compared to other national parks. If you want to see someone try and pet a bison or see how close they can get to a grizzly with cubs, then you won't be disappointed!

Yeah Trenton, that's why I go around June 15th as its not so crowded any the grass is plugged in green and there's still snow on the moutain tops.  The Lamar Valley is insanely gorgeous at that time.

I've also been in mid August after all the kidos are back in school so less people.  The grass is just browner at that time.  Hoppers on the Lamar River is insane at that time if your into fly fishing.  Of course the fly fishing is good in other areas in June, but not the Lamar because of snow run off.

And as far as if there is a traffic jam due to animal gazing, I can't think of a better place to be stuck in traffic.  :campfire:

In the NE just out of Sundance along I 90 in South Dakota is a buffalo jump.  It's a nice stop to see where they took Buffalo for at least 50 years.  A nice shoot in the Big Horns every year. The Big Horns are a beautiful drive and will for sure see Moose.
The hunt is the trophy!

Wyoming was an awesome state and wonderful people.  More pronghorn than could count, herds of elk, seen two small patches of mule deer and whitetails.  Few turkeys and buffalo.  If there check out thermopolis hot springs very nice.  Big horn mountains was great too.
