I read this article and thought you guys might like to mull this over. Last year I shot a hog very close up with a regular white light,so I don't know  :dunno:

Hope I did this right,we'll see.

I use both.  Red is my preference up close, bow range.  Longe range green is easier to shoot with. Coyotes, fox, cats.  Green works better for me at 100 yards or more.  But that's me shooting.
However it doesn't seem to bother the cats, fox.  Coyotes are spooky to begin with.  But they generally don't have much time once the light hits them.
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

I prefer red for my bowlight. When my group started pig hunting 20+ years ago we all used green. Now, we all use red. I can see better with the green, but its been my experience that the pigs are less spooky with the red.

The only light I could see is the white flashlight   from the game Warden if I got caught hunting at night lol

This morning headed out of camp I caught a fox int the light of my Rigid green LED floods on the front of my cart.  I wish I could have got the phone up in time to video it flipping a piece of plastic bag up in the air playing. But it wouldn't have been any better quality than the pics so . . .

I've Killed a couple with a white light, but spooked more. Mostly from shadows of limbs moving as I drew the bow. Then I moved to Green and have shot everyone I stalked up on, and killed every one of them except for one in TX that was just a flesh wound. All of those were bow lights.

There is a guy on here that swears by red, but I've never tried it.  PDK and I killed 3 in TX together with his green light set up.

Don't know if red is better or not as I have had no problem with green. I can tell you for sure, either is better than white!!!

I just thought it was interesting how things get marketed, and if this article and science is even right they actually don't see red as well. I have a green one as well, and probably will just keep using that one.
