Any good books or shows you would recommend?

I love shooting traditional but it has been way harder to learn. I can't find a traditional bow shop anywhere near me and I've only run into 2 or 3 other trad shooters at the range. Are there any good shows coming up in the southeast?  What about really good trustworthy books on form and arrow tuning?  I really love this new hobby but I feel like I'm drinking from a really small straw.

Do a search for videos from Arne Moe and Tom Clum, both great teachers. Arne passed away recently but his teaching videos should still be available.

There is a five part series called Masters of the Bare Bow, that deals with all aspects of traditional archery.  More specifically, it deals with just about every style of shooting we have in the Western tradition.  The feeling it leaves you with is that there are many more ways than one to skin a cat, when it comes to how you should shoot a traditional bow, and the many variations of traditional bows and arrows that there are.  As the series was being made, new volumes came out about once a year on DVDs.  Now the DVD's are hard to find, but the entire series is still available as downloads.  My recommendation to you or anyone else starting out in traditional archery is to start with volume 1 and work your way through to volume 5.  I doubt if you'll ever get bored with it.

I believe the Traditional Bowhunters of Florida have a good gathering in Ocala Florida in April every year.

The Shooters Forum here on T-Gang is a place where you can find shooting info.You can do searches thier as well on things shooting related.

I also recommend Fred Asbell's books.  Not only instructional, but very entertaining.  And do join the Professional BowHunters Society.  You'll be glad you did, and they hold a meeting/banquet every other year.  I've been able to attend two, and wish I could never miss one.

Asbell's books were the first books I read on instinctive shooting. And I still refer to them, they're great.

Hello Sir, there are a TON of books listed on this site, do a search for the word books and click subject and you will see a bunch of threads with info on what you are wanting....

And several have offered up good videos here.
