Congrats and great job with the storytelling and pics, Ryan!  I had heard through mutual friends that you had killed a bull, and was hoping that you would post your story here!

I know it was an "any bull" unit, but just for practice, what was his spread?  Looks like right at 50" to me, but what do I know???  I do see the 4 brow tines on the one side, but I know how hard it is to count the brows sometimes...

Thanks for the congrats and well wishes guys!

Jeff, you'd have to be careful with this bull I a restricted unit, 49 1/2 inches wide. The brow tines would make him legal, though.

My My My, some kind of nice. WOW. Great hunt and great story Ryan on your Moose hunt. 5th time to Alaska,  and finally it happened. Nothing beats a failure but a continued try. Congrats Ryan, and thanks for sharing with us. As Mike Mitten have already said, Well Done Indeed.

Great moose and a Great story as well !
The thing that amazes me is the beautiful coat on that animal !!
If you can shoot just one arrow in control, you can shoot all of them in control !

A very nice bull and a great story, congrats. I've had a few of those face to face encounters with moose and elk and your great story helped bring them back ... many thanks

The hunting kind of wound down over the next few days with moose sightings going to 0.  The time of the year had come for the moose to move down country towards the river drainages to rut.

Next year will be another adventure....and it is John's turn! I hope about mid September next year we are popping advils from the pack out and toasting another great bull!

Great story Ryan!  I love hunting moose. It has been over 30-years for me. I especially like reading stories with great pics like that. Well done sir!!  Good hunting!!
