I tell ya what. This is a high quality glove that's for sure! Someone brought up American Leathers and I had been shooting the Crossover off and on for years and the thing hardly wears. I love my Eichler tab, but wanted to try the glove again. I got the Big Shot in elk leather and maaan is it sweet. I can feel the string just enough and it is soft.  The crossover you cannot feel it hardly at all like a thicker tab.  Really going to enjoy this glove especially after breaking it in! I will be using it this fall no doubt. And that new leather smell!

I like mine,it's a lot lighter in color than yours.

I just got off the phone with Lori, ordered a full shot deer hide. It's getting here Friday!

They're well made gloves and hold up really well. I use some conditioner to keep the keather soft. The only issue I have with my Big Shots is they tend to develop a really bad crease in the stalls after a few months of shooting which make it almost impossible to get a clean release.

Terry Green

I have a few Big Shot/Slick Shots and have been shooting/hunting with them for probably 20 years.  I  have no issue what so ever getting a clean release.  Never have with the 9 that I have owned. I finally wore my origional one out, gave away 2 to friends of mine, and a couple to hunters that were in camp with me.

I still have 4, but they aren't going anywere. Got enough to last my life time if they ever quit making them.

My Kangaroo Krossover will be ten years old this October. Still holding up and has shown only some discoloration to the leather but no wear. They build quality gloves that last.

I have had my crossover for probably a decade and it still shoots the same. I don't expect this to get any creases either. Now every Duraglove and ABS deer skin one I've had sure did. Time will tell! I will probably need to get one more though just in case. Hate to think how many tabs I've lost after I kill, gut, or drag a deer. At least this I can Velcro to my quiver if I wanted.

Best glove I've ever owned bar none.   :readit:

Definitely a superior product.  Have an Elk Big shot with dark brown leather and a modified Kangaroo Crossover, with mid layer of Buffalo.  Gloves are great for heavy bows and extended shooting sessions, but tabs have my heart for hunting.  Both are real nice shooting gloves, almost enough to pull me away from my nylon tab.  Almost!  Have Bodnik Speed glove and Black glove, as well.  Lifetime worth of finger protection!!!

Wow, this is the least amount of post I've ever seen on an American glove thread. They are the best by far,  end of story.  Break in schmakin you don't need a break in just start shooting and killing stuff and quit worrying about knit picking .
Get bamboo.

IMHO, the Crossover Kangaroo WITHOUT the plastic zip tie inserts in the finger stalls is the finest shooting glove ever made. I have a Buffalo crossover and the Elk glove with the nylon on the outside also but they never get used. For me, they pale in comparison exponentially to the Kangaroo glove as mentioned above.

I like to look of that big shot. I bought a duraglove. But the are stitched along the sides of your fingers. Making the glove tips flat as they get closer to their stitching. So there seems to be extra material sticking off the gops of your fingers. I do think it might be too small for me, do I use the tan most of the time. I can get that finger to anchor easier.   Maybe I should use the glove more to try a break it in maybe. Maybe I wouldn't feel it was sized wrong.   But I like the way they have the material stitched on the big shot from those pictures. The material goes from top, around the tips and then along the bottom with finger sides stitched on more or less. Looks like your fingers would fit easier

The bigshots don't really need breaking in.

The Two Bobnik gloves (Speed and Black) and they were ready day 1.  But I don't see them lasting as long as the American Leather gloves.  American Leather Big Shot may have taken a couple dozen arrows to smooth out.  The Crossover Kangaroo with a mid-layer of buffalo, took less than that.  The kangaroo might be the last glove I buy.  One thing that I told my boss in retail, "I won't push a produce that I would not buy."   As you can see American Leather has my vote and my money.  Life is too short to shoot a poorly built and functioning glove.
