There is a big shoot this coming weekend in Texas called the Chester Classic.  A lot of neat side competitions and cool awards.  There on location barracks to stay in and a cafeteria serving good food.    Here is a pic of the flyer with some phone numbers for information if you happen to live down Texas way.
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

Well it was a great shoot.  Quite challenging for a simple stick slinger like me.  Some beautiful targets and cool set ups though.
This guy made this shooting look a lot easier than I thought it was but he's pretty dang good

That last is a wonderful target setup!

Both were good company to be in and both schooled me.  Even the one who wasn't shooting well.
The course taught me a few things.  Well, this one and HCSO.  I need an aiming system for longer ranges.   The "instinctive" method works fine for me out to 15 yards or so but these bigger shoots are where the average shooters get separated from those who are really good.
Time to work on a better way.

Mr. Cook; Or just practice at longer distances, that should only take a few years and a couple thousand arrows to get it engrained!!!

If I had a standard under the eye arrow set on anchor I'd had it down years ago
I'll have it resolved soon.

Excellent!!!  My schedule makes 3-D tough to attend.  My shooting is limited to the back yard, 18 yard maximum.

Definitely a fun shoot. Looking forward to it next year! I didn't take many pics this time.
