Bowhunting - A Passion for Life, is a must read, as far as I'm concerned. As you read the book you can almost imagine you're walking along beside him. Many of us will probably never have these adventures, but can read about them none the less. Money well spent.

I couldn't agree more, I bought 2 copies of his book when it first came out.
I'd love to experience 1/2 of his adventures, he's a awesome story teller that I'd love to meet one day , one of my top 2-3 bowhunters for sure

The story of the Grizzly charge and his sense of God stopping her is the best I've ever read.

Many years ago Monty was the speaker at the NC State Trad Shoot. About 11:00pm, my wife and I were taking a last walk through the camping area. As we were walking by a campfire, a gentleman at the fire asked us to come and sit a spell. It was Monty and 6 or 8 other people. We spent the next 3 hours sharing stories around the fire. He has no equal as a story teller.

It's a great book. I've got one of the signed 1st 100 books. Monty is one of the best storytellers I've ever heard and just a great honorable gentleman. I love listening to his stories.

Been one of my favorite Writers for a LONG TIME

If TBM has one of his stories in print , it's the first one I read and likely read it many times over . That Griz story was one of them....This book is on my list of TO HAVE's for sure . He takes heavy arrow weight to another level ;^))

First class story teller either on platform speaking or writing. I never get tired of listening to him talk. Him and Annie are the best

You're not going to meet a better man. My brother passed away two weeks before I was supposed to leave for a moose hunt in Alaska. I didn't know what I was going to do. He sent me the most awesome text and really helped me make my decision on whether to go or not. Well I went! I'm fortunate to call him a good friend!!

He is a very humble Christian man who knows how to put down in words what if feels like to be on a hunt. He spoke at the Traditional Bowhunters of Georgia banquet a few years back, and i had the opportunity to hear him speak. As others have said, he is a great story teller! His book is awesome.

Quite a humble man, for all that he has accomplished. He'll talk to anybody, just walk right up and introduce yourself. I'm almost certain that he will be at the Compton's Rendezvous this summer in MI and Lord willing, he'll be at the next PBS banquet in Lexington KY in March 2024.
