I get ambitious in my day dreaming. Started collecting turkey wings. Fix on buying a chopper, but the grinding set up is spendy.
I currently have 7 left and 7 right wings with more to come.
Im wondering if theres someone on here that would trade feathers for split and grinding service?
Itd be ideal if said person wanted lw as my bits is set up for rw.

Grinding them doesn't have to be expensive. I made a jig just like this one for about 10.00 and grind on a belt sander.

I have ground feathers from turkeys that I shot in the following manner. I did not need any special set up. After splitting, I cut the feathers to length. I then placed the cut feathers in the appropriate RW or LW clamp from my fletching jig. I held them in the clamp and pressed them into a hand held belt sander, turned upside down in a bench vice. I have also sanded them by hand using the fletching jig. Hope this helps.

Josh Echterling (Feathers by the Dozen), feathersbythedz@hotmail.com does a good job. He's also listed in the sponsor classifieds here.
